Autolib’ is the only provider of self-service all-electric vehicles (no direct emissions, no odors, no noise).
It is a public car-sharing service that allows for over more than 100 000 different trips per week in and around Paris (users are not required to return vehicles to the departure stand).
These electric vehicles are practical and useable by anyone with a driver’s license. They provide a new travel option that is cleaning up city air.
Autolib’ is run by a public-private joint venture chaired by Annick Lepetit, Paris’ councilwoman in charge of travel and transportation. The service is available in Paris, almost 100 towns in the Paris Metropolis, and the surrounding Ile de France (Greater Paris) region.
The Bolloré Group, founded in 1822, decided to diversify in order to reduce risk over 25 years ago. Today it is on the list of the 500 largest companies in the world. Although listed on the stock exchange, the Bolloré family continues to be the majority stakeholder. This shareholding stability has allowed the Group to pursue a long-term investment policy.
A four-person electric car like none other. With exceptional technology, an LMP battery, and an on-board computer, the Bluecar is revolutionizing city transportation.
This Turin-based car designer has established a solid reputation for outstanding car design for over 80 years, and has been working with the Bolloré Group since 2005. It designed the first concept car, the Bluecar B-Zero. The version of the Bluecar on the roads today draws heavily on that design while adapting to industrial production.
The LMP batteries and supercapacitors were developed at the research center run by the Bolloré Group’s industrial site in Ergué-Gabéric, in Brittany, France. The research breakthroughs achieved there prompted the Group to establish batScap, a company that has been fully focused on its core field of expertise for the past 15 years.
